Our story

Get to know Forest Camp

We're a small team of educators, mountain athletes, and wilderness-first-aid responders who love being outside with kids.

What we're about

Forest Camp exists because kids learn faster, sleep better, and build sturdier confidence when they spend their days in the woods. Our home is Scape Park at Cap Cana β€” 1,500 acres of forest, water, animals, and adventure.

The program is designed to grow leadership and adaptability, lift self-esteem, and reduce anxiety through real adventure. The educational focus is on mountain sports, survival skills, and outdoor recreation.

How we work

  • Real outdoor skills

Wilderness first aid, mountain sports, navigation, knot-work, fire, and shelter β€” taught hands-on by certified instructors. Kids leave with skills, not just memories.

  • PETZL-standard equipment

Climbing, rappelling, and rope work runs on PETZL gear β€” the same brand professional rescue teams trust. Inspected before every session. Backed by ACCT-aligned challenge-course protocols.

  • Flora & Fauna

1,500 acres of Scape Park, in the gated Cap Cana complex: real encounters with monkeys, iguanas, freshwater caves, and the Caribbean β€” no fences between the lesson and the place.

  • Nutrition

Lunch and snack are home-cooked, fresh. No sodas, no fried foods. Menus follow Stanford University's 2022 child-nutrition and cooking standards.

Forest Campers Β· ages 6–12

Adventure-filled days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. β€” the perfect blend of fun and learning in the great outdoors. Mountain sports, animal interactions, and immersive nature-based activities at Scape Park.

Leadership Development Β· ages 13–15

Older campers join the Forest Camper program in a role that asks for more responsibility and patience. The goal is to stretch their abilities to their limits, sharpen self-awareness, and have them guide younger campers by example.
